Two Brief Topics...

1  To be polite, should I say thanks or thank you? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Say thanks to your friends and people younger than you.

Say thank you to people who are older than you, have a higher position than you, and people you have just met.

Do you know any other informal and formal polite terms/expressions?

2  A Discussion that italki should pay for and permanently post

italki member Miriam has recently posted a great discussion that provides a thorough introduction to the italki website and app*.

italki should thank Miriam for this excellent guideline which has accumulated 36 upvotes (possibly a record number of upvotes).

Should italki thank Miriam and then permanently post Miriam's Introduction to italki.

Do you think that italki should post Miriam's "beginner's guide"?

Absolutely! They should thank her for this generous act.

She loves this community and we all love her!:)

They definitely should to thank few people who are bringing this community alive as a real ( even if only virtual) community. I think that some little reward for them would be nice.

How about italki sending her a bouquet of flowers and some dark chocolate as well?! Well, I don't know about Miriam, but I personally love 62%  dark chocolate. I really mean what I say! :)
