Fire in Notre-Dame de Paris.
A couple of days ago we were shocked by the news about Fire in Notre-Dame de Paris. The cathedral is one of the most important objects of cultural heritage for all mankind and, undoubtedly, an architectural masterpiece. But at the same time, it is a symbol of the darkest period of European culture. The symbol of the power of liars, scoundrels, murders. Its name linked with the death of thousands of innocent people, frightful atrocities.
Anyway, Notre-Dame de Paris is a history of bygone days. In modern history, we have a number of examples with the same controversial meanings.
What do you think about it? Do you have the same monuments in your city? How they can live in accordance with our values? Is their beauty an apology of tyranny?
