Troglodyte
Do you spice up your food or leave it placid?

If I were an Alien hovering in the Troposphere of this world , I would surely be dragged by the delicious and aromatic flavor of  delicacies coked by my beloved Humans. However, I think spices play an vital role in giving life to most of the cuisines around the world. Spices has that potential to kick our taste buds so hard that they can instantly dance with ecstasy.

I know handful of spices which are quite common around the world I guess like, mustard, cumin, coriander, sesame, cinnamon, umm what did I forget?

Now, if you want to share the secret of recipes and spices you use in them, then I will write a cook or spice book and distribute them  among my Troglodyte compatriots:D

Hope you all have a spicy day!:)

"Placid" is an unnatural word to use here.

"Mild" suggests that spice is used, but only a small amount. In our supermarket, many condiments, such as salsa, are labeled as "hot," "medium," or "mild."

"Spice" suggests a sensation of spice heat, as with hot peppers.

Flavorings that don't have heat are called "seasonings."

One possibility is "Do you prefer to spice up your food, or do you prefer it mildly seasoned?"

"Bland" suggests that the food has no spices at all, and no very strong flavors. Baby food is bland.

When you say "leave it placid," that suggests leaving it in its natural state, without adding any spices at all. One way to say that would be "leave it unseasoned."

A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.

Troglodyte,
I'd like to invite you to taste Indonesian most famous dish in the world. It's called Beef <em>Rendang.</em> (<a href="https://dailycookingquest.com/rendang-sapi-padang-padang-style-beef-rendang.html" target="_blank">https://dailycookingquest.com/rendang-sapi-padang-padang-style-beef-rendang.html</a>;)
It's a dish consists of thick beef cubes slowly cooked for several hours in a blend of coconut milk and paste of mixed ground spices such as ginger, galangal, turmeric leaves, lemongrass, garlic, shallots, chillis and other spices.
If you like spicy food, it's worth to try.

Turmeric is the master spice that exist in all spices and it is considered an anti-inflammatory factor but it turns your broth yellowish so avoid it if you are making a tomatoe broth or sause.

Today I read a recipe for a dish called Indian Curry and liked it so much. Since it sounds delicious and is fairly easy to cook, I guess I'll give it a try. Ah, damn, Indian dishes are so yummy!!

When I'm cooking, I usually mix all the seasons we have at home and add the mixture to the food. I just love spaghetti sauce with cinnamon.
