what kind of topics do you want to talk when you are in a conversation with your partner for practicing? sometimes I have no idea how to continue the conversation with my partners in a relatively comfortable way. it makes me awkward..so I hope there will be someone who helps me with my communication.Thanks.

It can be challenging to maintain a conversation for an hour, especially if your vocabulary is limited. Maybe you could find a short story or an article that has been professionally translated, so that it's available to you in each of the languages you are studying. You could each read it in your target language, or in both languages, and then discuss it. If you're at a beginner level, you could try a children's book. Another idea is to listen to a song together and talk about music and the lyrics. Or you could share photographs of your family or neighborhood. In other words, create a context of something that you are sharing, to give you something to talk about.

I think the best way to make your conversations more comfortable is to make plans with topic for each conversation. Also if you have limited vocabulary you can write for each topic some relevant words and frases. Here are some ideas of topics:

- sport (what team support, what kind of sport is goin to, championships and etc.)

- pets (what pets do you have or wanted to have, what was your first pet, funny situations with pets, how to choose name for pet ...)

- traditions (family traditions, national traditinals, traditionals with your friends and so on)

- holidays (national holidays, how is your family celerate some holidays...)

- literature/cinema (favorite books, films, actors, writers, TV series...)

- traveling (what places you have trevel to or dream to travel, interesting places in your country/city, what kind pf traveling do you like, your best vacations

- dreams (what will you do if you win will lottery, what are you dreaming to do but you have lack of courage, what superpower would you choose)

There are many more topics. The main thing is to hear your interlocutor, ask questions about his stories and topics.

Good luck! :)

There are various ways to do this. because I am preparing for TOEFL there is a pool of topic for speaking section from which we can choose and discuss about. also there is a web page for hot debates https://www.procon.org/ which provides controversial topic for people to talk about. there is no shortage for topics to discuss about.

We use site TED.com for choosing topic with one of my speaking partners. For example, I chose an issue and send him the link to approve it. Next time he does the same.

Also you can help each other translate things if you run out of things to say. For example, I would translate something into Xhosa language and they would translate it back to English.
