What is your favourite ENGLISH movie?
I love "Suddenly 30"! It is very childish, but I feel happy and laugh out loud when I watch it.

P.S. STUDENTS and FUTURE STUDENTS I have updated my availability for this week!

Do you mean 'a film made in England' or 'a film made in the English language?'

My favourites are probably actually mainly Welsh or Irish, rather than actually made in England. Or Australian. All of these places have film industries, and produce some very interesting films. I love, "The man who went up a hill but came down a mountain," "Brassed off," any Wallace and Gromit film, and Chicken Run. Possibly films such as Slumdog Millionaire (which was British financed and directed but, of course, made almost entirely in India).

Shhh! Don't tell anyone, but I quite enjoy James Bond films.

I haven't seen any American (Hollywood) films since about 1970 so I can't comment on the films of the USA. I remember liking Humphrey Bogart!

Besides Harry Potter, I haven't watched any movies since I was a kid. I generally watch tv shows. My favourite movie back then was The neverending story.

I think watching movies in the language you are learning is a great way to practice listening skills because you also have a guide as to what is happening through the acting.
