Step out of your comfort zone Learning a new language is difficult - you have to step out of your comfort zone - meaning that this can be difficult and uncomfortable.  Have you felt like that?  What have you done lately that made you step out of your comfort zone?

I'm quite comfortable speaking foreign languages if it's not too difficult. Sometimes a tutor will take me out of that comfort zone by giving me a big challenge, but that can be satisfying if I get it right, or at least don't mess up too much.

Hi Shelby, I know exactly what you mean!  It certainly takes a lot of courage to take that first step and meet people who talk the language you are learning!

My ultimate out-of-comfort-zone experience would be going to a language learning / exchange Meetup (at a cafe or bar or someplace like that where these meetings usually happen). I keep dreaming about doing that, but shyness gets in the way. As for what I have done lately - probably just talking out loud in English online!
