what does the word "hook" in the sentence mean?
But "old school hip hop" does a really good job of storylines, punchlines,
and catchy hooks that are easy for people to recite.

A hook in music production is a short and repetitive part of the song that grabs your attention and hooks you into the song. If there’s a part that you always think of when you think of a particular song, that part is probably the hook. The hook is often the same as the chorus, though not always.

A "hook" sometimes refers to something that catches people's interest. There are hooks in songs (the chorus, as said before), there are story hooks (parts of stories that keep people engaged) and someone can be "hooked onto something" meaning they are very engaged and interested in doing something and have a hard time stopping.
