Is italki fake site or not?

I'm a native Arabic Speaker. I joind italki one week ago. During that period I'v tried very hard to find a native English speakers to caht with (50/50 exchange), but I didn't have any positive responce even from my fllowers!

All my fllowers aimed to learn Arabic but no one of them answers my request to chat on Skype, except someone that seems to be some kind of a missionary!

Is italki fake site or not?

Or is italki just usful for people want to have paid courses only?

or am I doing something wrong!

If you were willing to pay the teacher the fee they charge, you would have no difficulty.

As for  the rest of the forum,    they are under no obligation to be a chat partner, so there is no just complaint about them.

One week is not enough time for judging  this site. There are certain rules in the Internet - the Netetiquete. Be patient and watch the site. Take part in discussions. At least you can write text in Note Book section and anyone would correct it for free. May be later you can find a serious Arabic learner.

Is a good site...maybe don't want be ur partner language or talk to you...exemple I don't accept partner request or add skype but if someone don't try flirt me or allways boring me I can talk like 10 min with person for day if i'm intersting in languages the person talk...

Try a slow conversation nothing like: where are you from?? how old are you??? are you married??

try more like: hii :)) everything ok? how many language do you talk? what do u like do in ur free time?? etc etc don't "scary" the persons and do more topics ^^ people comment and maybe add you or you add them or both case :))

This site is definitely not a fake.

Under the "Community" headline, you can search language partners, people open to and looking for lanaguage exchange.  If you are looking under professional teachers, it may be a reason you are not getting a response, since professional teachers are mostly looking for paying students.  Or maybe the people you are contacting are already with a language partner and are not looking for more.  Give it a few months, one week is absolutely too short a time to make a judgement, maybe people are also busy with other things, work or home life.  Some people don't log in so often.  Good luck.

One week?! You need to be patient!

Write some notebooks in English and you'll get them corrected. You can contact people who always correct your notebooks and answer your questions. When sending a follower request to someone, write a message, don't just send the default message (personally, I feel that the sender is lazy and has nothing to say'
