The following are ways Koreans make their phone calls according to my textbook. They sound rather formal to me even though 경어 (such as 댁, 계세요) isn't used. (Which is understandable since it's from a textbook..)

So I was wondering if this is really the way people make their calls? How do teenagers/friends converse on the phone?

[e.g. I've come across ending the call with "KaTalk 해." ] :)

가: 여보세요. 거기 이태민 씨 집이지요?

나: 네, 그런데요. 가: 이태민 씨 있어요?

나: 네, 잠깐만 기다리세요.

Scenerio #2

가: 여보세요. 거기 이태민 씨 집이지요?

나: 네, 그런데요.

가: 이태민 씨 좀 바꿔주세요.

실례지만 누구세요?

가: 저 카이에요.
