Is it common, when cooking food in your country, to add garlic to the dish?
It is common to most of the people. However, at certain rituals and for priests, it is prohibited owing to its stimulanting property.
In Russia the smell of garlic is considered indecent. Sometimes I can eat some food with garlic in the evening.
Yes, we add garlic in our food because it is healthy.
Violet, I live in South Africa. Garlic is optional in our food. Some people reallly don't like it as they say is makes their breath smell bad. Garlic has medicinal qualities too. I think it enhances the flavour, especially in a fish dish, stir fry, Italian meals, such as pasta, and in soups too.
How about in your country? I usually watch street food show on National Geographic channel and I see that American refer to use onion than garlic.
My mistakes.
So sorry for inconvenient.
