I´m single too. I tried to learn to cook but It was impossible. Cooking is a talent God didn´t give me and I learned to live without cooking.

Now I appreciate my misfortune:

1. I can choose what to eat every day.
2. I can plan to visit my friends at the lunch time. To do that, you should to have a lot of friends or your friends will hide from you.
3. I learned to have fruit salads on my fridge, then I lost many pounds.
4. I start to see another capabilities on my that I didn´t see before... For example, I´m good to wash the kitchen (Yeap, That´s easy... I don´t cook!!)

    One more thing:

#4    A  filet of fish is easy to cook in an oven.  Baste the fish on both sides with oil and the fish will be cooked in  15 minutes or less  at a high temperature.

Mouthanna:

I know exactly what you mean.

   Okay, here are my solutions.

#1   Use Salads for  some meals, either each day, or every other day  or less often.

It is easy to cut up vegetables for a salad, and thrown in a can of Olives.

Use a simple Oil &  Vinegar Dressing.

#2  One can make an occasional meal out of bread.  It is healthy

One can combine   fruit with bread for a meal.  Apples work great.

#3  Eat  simple meals.  Learn to cook whole grains  like    Brown  Rice.

Rice can be eaten several different ways.

Just a few changes like this will make your life much simpler.

It really is a big pain to cook for one.  My son bought a recipe book "Cooking for One".  I cook in bulk and then freeze for when I really don't feel like cooking.

Start by learning all the many different ways to cook eggs - easy.  Hard boiled, soft boiled, fried, scrambled, omelette, poached.   Once you don't want to look another egg in the face move on to pasta and try simple sauces.  See this space next week for more cooking ideas :-)
