Tone deaf ......

I have been learning Chinese for a number of years and yet I still can't pronounce the tones correctly or identify them easily when I hear them.

Does anyone have advice on how to master Chinese tones?

Any help would be great.

You can watch CCTV news on TV to learn standard pronounciation broadcasted by their broadcasters. Or, you can contact some native Mandarin speakers, chat with skype or qq, I think that is helpful.

If you have a facebook account, check out that group titled "learn chinese with music"

You have to memorize sentences, there is no other way. Chinese words are constructed in pairs and sometimes is idiomatic expression. Rather than keeping in mind the pitch of syllable for each word, I'd keep in mind the tonation of the whole sentence.

read and practise every letter in 4 tunes

after you can pronounce them right, then read and practise every word in 4 tunes

Antonio, thanks, but I talk to native speakers just about every day. I am not sure this a question that a native speaker of Chinese will be able to answer for me.
