What is The Best Non-English Film You Have Seen?

I have recently seen Yojimbo by Akira Kurosawa, and I was blown away by the acting despite not understanding Japanese (english subtitles) and the general feel of the film. It has thus become one of my personal favourite films. What is your favourite non-english film?

I have to say, I haven't heard of these films, but I'm sure they are good. Does anyone know of any non-english films which have been well received by English speaking critics?

I'm in love with Kim Ki-duk, but as italian I have to say Fellini's movies, and Pasolini's, Rossellini's, De Sica's. I love Sorrentino's movies too.

Pirates: Blood Brothers (1999). This film is about two brothers that loved same woman. She brought big problems to them including herself. Later the brothers involved in opposite teams: first became a pirate and second became a serve of the king and had to struggle with pirates.
