difference between english and french

despite the difference between English and French I think if I speak one. it will be easy to learn the other

Mike, it is fairly simular. The verb tenses are simular, they follow the same Verb-Subject-Object structure. 

 

There or of course alos differences, in Dutch we don't use the auxiliary 'do' for questions or negatives. There is also no progressive form in Dutch.

 

But if you have mastered the English grammar, mastering the Dutch grammar shouldn't be that hard, and vice versa

They are very different. French and Spanish for example are much more alike. They are both Latin languages. English is much more simular to Dutch because they are both Germanic languages.
