I would say to you that don’t worry about it excessively. The same thing happens, more or less, everywhere. In my humble opinion there’s a useful antidote against uniformity in education or in thought and it’s just to travel. Actually, it doesn’t matter whether you do that really or virtually, because here the important point is to discover, to know, others outlooks.

I heard about that obsession with fitting into the mold in the Japanese society. All I can say is that maybe the best you can do is probably to teach your children how to think critically and how to cope with all the stress brought upon them by society. But this is just my opinion of course.
