Importance of sub-communication. Once I was in another country and I was walking down the street. Someone with a very weird but nice haircut was moving in the opposing direction. I gave this person a compliment and pointed at her hair. I guess she didn't hear clearly what I said but immediately though that something was wrong with the hair. I guess when you point at something with a finger it communicates mainly that something is wrong. Especially if it's a person you just met. I guess in my case it would have been better to just talk and smile. Pointing with a finger is needed only if something is really off
