Hello, How is it going?😆 I’m in trouble. I can't pronounce "refrigerator.😫Isn't it difficult to pronounce "refrigerator" in English? No matter how many times I hear it, it's still difficult. It is indeed a difficult word, if you really can’t do it right now just replace it with fridge. There are quite a few words I can’t pronounce in French too so you are not alone. Just embrace it and one day you will get there🤗

I agree with Sam that it is a difficult word. The "g" in refrigerator is actually a soft "g" pronounced like the "g" in "gym," it sounds like a "j" sound. It's possible that there is another pronunciation outside the United States I am not aware of. Hard "g" sounds are pronounced in the word "go" for example. If it helps, many people just say "fridge" instead of "refrigerator" and it means the same thing. It is a 5 syllable word! Quite a long one. Good luck to you.

Hey Hideki, Don't beat yourself up. I can't imagine what's it's like trying to learn a whole different alphabet, let alone language! In "refrigerator", there's two parts which have particular emphasis, the "re" at the beginning and the "g". There's a very hard "g" in "refrigerator". If I were trying to learn the word all over again, I'd break it down into it's syllables. In "refrigerator", there are four syllables, "re - frig - er - ator". I hope that helps! Try and break it down if you can, but put like I say, put particular emphasis on the "re" and the "g".
