_____ experience of working in an office environment is essential for this job.
A. Previous
B. First
C. Earlier
D. Initial
Note: I'd usually say “prior experience.” Here it seems to me all answers should work except for B. What do you think about this question? Thanks

I'd go with A.
'First' and 'inital' don't fit the context, since it's talking about anytime before now.
'Earlier' could work, but not nearly as well as 'previous'.
