Restarme puntaje How can I say "restar / quitar puntaje " in English? (Ejemplo: en un examen de matematica) 2.- I have to arrive on time for the test, otherwise, me pueden quitar puntaje.

1. I have to show all my working out in the exam, otherwise the examiner could deduct marks. OR: I have to show all my working out in the exam, or I could lose marks. 2. I have to arrive on time for the test, otherwise I could lose marks. 3. In the speaking test, it's important the other person understands you, otherwise you could lose marks. 4. In the exam you have to write with proper spelling and punctuation, or you could lose marks. Key phrases: lose marks and deduct marks The sentences didn't sound that natural to me so I just tried to make them sound as natural as possible without changing them.

In American English, the proper and usual terms would be "lose points" and "deduct points".
