Religion is a very touchy subject mate! I myself follow no religion, but I think the world could be better if different religions stopped hating each other!

I don't think the question should be, "what is your religion and why you believe in it". However, simply asking someone if they believe in something greater than themselves, would be a better question. I personally, don't have a specific denomination, but I can say unequivocally that I am a spiritual person. Human beings need to believe in something. There must be hope and dreams for the future, otherwise, life would be very tedious, almost like having no purpose. Life is a gift and we must cherish it and live every day to its fullest. Be thankful, generous, compassionate and productive in your everyday activities. You will definitely feel a change within yourself.

Personally, I don't have a religion. I'm an atheist; I don't believe in the supernatural at all. But to echo Lewis' sentiment, I don't bear any ill will against religious people, and I hope one day the people of the world will learn to tolerate those who believe differently. There is way too much animosity, hatred, and discrimination in the world over religion. I personally apologize for the frightening anti-Muslim sentiment currently going on in the United States. I do not condone it at all, and it does not represent me. Nor do I think it represents the basic values of our country. The very first treaty the United States ever signed, in fact, was the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, which states: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
