I doubt there are any native speakers use that expression on a *daily* basis, but it's certainly not an uncommon expression.
The important thing is to use it in the right context - for example if you are describing to somebody a method to produce or achieve something you might say "You go through these five stages, which I will tell you about in detail, and then Bob's your uncle."
