Expectancy is a state of expectation. An expectation is something which is anticipated or is likely to happen. Expectancy is the state of hopefulness where you anticipate what will happen. Therefore, we can say: She has every expectation that she will become a successful actor in future years. We can also say: In many countries life expectancy has improved considerably over the last 50 years.
