Classes are certainly available. You have two choices if you want to use italki to improve your English... these two choices are to either find a language exchange partner, or to pay for lessons. The key advantage of finding an exchange partner is that it is free. Key disadvantages include the fact that it isn't always easy to find someone that wants to exchange languages with you and, even if you can, it can sometimes be difficult to create a regular arrangement that both people will stick to (to stick to means to keep the arrangement going over a period of time). The key advantage of taking paid lessons is that you can be sure that you will receive one or more lessons per week/fortnight/month at the precise time of your choosing. There are so many teachers available on italki that it is very, very easy to find somebody that is available to teach at the time that you want to learn - indeed, you will be spoilt for choice (this means you will have so much choice that you might find it difficult to decide). The key disadvantage of taking paid lessons is that, er... you have to pay for them. Before deciding whether or not to pay for lessons you need to decide how important it is to you to improve your English... why do you want to improve your English? If you are learning to get a place to study or work abroad, for example, then you should probably see money spent on paid lessons as an investment in your own future. The same is true if you have to pass an English test to achieve what you want to achieve in your future. If language learning is simply a hobby for you - something that you do just for fun, then I could see why you might not want to pay for lessons. But, then again, do you pay money for other hobbies that you like to do? One big difference between a teacher and just a random language exchange partner? A teacher will have the confidence to correct your mistakes.... a language exchange partner may not have (so you may not get them corrected).

It depends on the teacher you would want to work with and the amount of money you are willing to spend for it.
