Which font or fonts do the English native speakers usually use on business emails or documents Hi, everybody. Wish you have a wonderful day today! I'd like to know which font is the most popular on business emails or documents among native speakers? Especially a file with a lot of charts, pictures, and forms. ( additional questions here: does a comma should be placed "and", like the previous sentence. "charts, pictures and forms" or "charts, pictures, and forms"?) Normally I use the font of Calibri and Arial. Sometimes I combine the two kinds of fonts to emphasize something important. Is it right? Thanks!

In my experience Calibri and Arial are popular these days. Times New Roman is a good font for business and formal documents.

For American, arial is good, as is times new roman or calibri.

There is no right or wrong font to use and it's really down to personal taste. Traditionally times new roman was the font everyone used but I've seen many others used in business. As long as it looks professional I wouldn't worry about it. In relation to your second question there is no need to add the coma. Hope this helps. :)

I would recommend just going with the default font that you get when you create a new email or a new document in whatever app you're using (but serif fonts are now old-fashioned, so your apps will very likely default to a sans-serif font if they're less than a few decades old). Don't use different fonts for emphasis. Use italics for emphasis. In HTML, you'd use an <em> element, which is short for "emphasis" and renders in italics (the element is now deprecated). Changing fonts in a single paragraph of Latin characters does not look nice. Say "charts, pictures, and forms" if you can. There will be cases when omitting that last comma will make your sentence harder to parse. It won't be easy to predict when you'll run into a case like that, so getting into the habit of using this (the so-called Oxford comma) is a good idea. That way, the habit will spread and everyone else will be that much more likely to do it, too.
