I read it as more like "These days, how much do people believe in true love?" I think everyone believes in it to some degree, but asking "how much" is a good question. Does your intuition tell you that people don't believe in true love these days as much as they used to? It depends how far you back you go. If you go back to the times when people married for social or economical reasons (which I guess still happens in some places) then I daresay that people didn't believe in true love very much at all. Fast-forward to the times when people were beginning to be able to choose who to marry, and for genuine love, and you'd begin to see an upsurge in faith in true love. Fast-forward to the present day where so many romantic partnerships fail for one reason and another, and yet we're (mostly) still allowed to choose a partner for our own good reasons, then things get a little fuzzy. It's a good question, but I'd say that people still believe in true love A LOT. Look at all the rom-coms out there for one thing! :)
