out of existence "You don't want to deprive someone of a living, but you don't want to bestow upon them the tech that means they will fish themselves out of existence." What does "out of existence" mean?

It means essentially until they are dead or no longer exist. If the context is fishing, then it means to fish too much until there are no fish left and no survival is no longer possible. Hope this helps

“You don’t want to deprive someone of a living, but you ALSO don’t want to bestow upon them the tech that will lead them to fish themselves out of existence,” >The earlier sentence is not spoken correctly
