What vs Which Hi all!!! My question is simple: Is the use of 'what' and 'which' correct in both cases? what is more expensive, meat or fish? which is more expensive, meat or fish? I do know "which" sounds more natural but, are both correct from a perspective of a native? Thanks in advance!!! :)

As you said, 'which' would be technically correct but people would understand you if you said 'what' and not think twice about it.

Hi Gaspar, We use "which" when there is more than one answer. The person who replied you may choose meat or fish. We use "what" when trying to ask specific information. Eg What is the time? Therefore , there can be a difference and using "which" is better. Hope this helps. Cheers, Lance
