This site give you some good pictures with the differences: http://www.homedit.com/difference-between-a-terrace-and-a-balcony-in-modern-times/ In summary, the main differences are that terraces are much bigger and usually not covered. Whereas a balcony is normally an extension of a room. Hint* If all that fits on it is a table from ikea, it's probably a balcony Hope that helps, Andrew

Hi Baron! A balcony is a small platform that is attached outside of the building. There is usually only one way to access the balcony. I think an easy way to remember this is the "Romeo and Juliet" balcony scene. A terrace is a larger elevated platform that can be next to the house or on the rooftop. I attached a link the further explains the differences between the two. I hope that helps! http://www.designrulz.com/design/2015/07/difference-between-a-terrace-and-balcony/
