Tingle meaning What does it mean? It means like I am excited? 'I felt a tingle' Here is context: I nestled snugly in a velvety pod with my brothers and sisters. I felt a tingle. I knew that somehow I would be important. FYI, it's story book about peas. Thanks in advance!

I'll first quote the main definition from The Free Dictionary below and then explain more: "1. To have the sensation of being tapped or poked lightly with many needles in a certain area of the body, often caused by the cold, a sharp slap, or excitement: tingled all over with joy." In your example it means to tingle with excitement. One can also say "I felt a tingle up my spine", which is a feeling of excitement that comes over you. It's a difficult sensation to explain clearly. The best I could do would be to describe the slight prickling feeling that comes over you just before you shiver with cold, or when someone tickles you, or when you first learn of some exciting news. Also see the reference below for more details. Webpage reference - http://www.thefreedictionary.com/tingle
