ich habe es mir noch nicht erlebt Hallo, Ich weiß was "ich habe es noch nicht erlebt" heißt, aber ich möchte etwas anders sagen. In Tschechisch wir würden etwas wie "ich habe es mir noch nicht erlebt" sagen. What I want to express: I'm learning a language and I speak slowly because I haven't experienced talking for real enough. In my native language, we say what could be literally translated to: sich erleben. Does this work in German too ? There is no equivalent in English so I don't know how could I express myself more clearly. It's like you know something, but you need more experience to not making mistakes. And we use one word for this situation, that is literally translated as "sich erleben" into German. Danke!

You definitely can't say "sich etwas erleben", it just doesn't make any sense in German. In this context, I'd say "Ich habe (noch) nicht genug Übung ODER Erfahrung ODER Praxis".

Nein, diese tschechische Konstruktion kann man nicht wörtlich ins Deutsche übertragen. In Deinen Beispielen würde ich sagen: - Ich kann mich in der Sprache X halbwegs ausdrücken, aber ich brauche noch mehr Übung. - Ich habe den die Führerscheinprüfung bestanden, aber ich habe noch zu wenig (Fahr)Praxis (oder: Übung). - Damit Deine Kreise wirklich rund werden, musst Du noch etwas mehr üben.
