The previous answer is mostly correct. Around the world College and University (UNI) are not interchanged, but in America they are interchanged as the same.
Mostly a College is a institution past high school that awards an Associates of Art and or Science and a four year institution that grants a Bachelor of Arts and or Science.
A University mainly focuses on Graduate Educational Goals, after the award of the Bachelors degree, although most Universities have undergraduate of Bachelor degree programs.
In America most students go to High School for 12 grades, then on to a College for 2 years (Associates Degree) then other college of Uni for Bachelor and or advanced Masters degrees.
Bachelor is 4 years post high school
Master is 6-8 years post high school
and then a Doctorate can take anywhere from 8-indefinite years based on dissertation
Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.
