A question for speakers of Creole
Hi all.
This is a question for speakers of Creole...
I am desperately trying to understand why a student of mine (not on italki) is having all kinds of problems understanding the difference between the superlative (the most expensive, the biggest etc) and the comparative (more expensive than, taller than etc).
Whatever I try, it doesn't seem to work. She speaks another language too and the situation in English is actually identical to the situation in English (in terms of usage) so that cannot be the problem...
So, I am wondering whether the system of comparatives and superlatives in Creole is somehow significantly different, when compared to the English system?
Any comments would be appreciated, please.
