technology? techonologies? I learned "Modern conveniences and technology have led some people to think that good friendships are not necessary". But I think technology should be technologies because it is countable. Is it wrong?

Technology as a category or a field is a non-count noun. We only say technologies if we are talking about several types within the category. For example; We live in the age of technology. Technologies like personal computers and the internet have advanced today's society beyond what was conceivable at the onset of the industrial age.
