I am not sure about it. The international community as a sovernign natiion consists of more than 190 nations all over the world.
If a soverign nation is allowed to join the OECD(Organization Economic Cooperation and Development) based in Paris, France, it is classfied as a developed nation. Only less than 40 nations are permitted to take part in OECD. The rest of countries in the world cannot join the OECD.
If the people in a country make their living less than one U.S dollar in a day, its country is recognized as a least developing country.
I imagine that more than 3 billion people in the world are suffering from poverty, hunger, famine, starvation and so on as a result of the ethnic conflicts, territorial issues, religious disputes and so on.
