The more practice you have, the better speaker you will be. The practice can be conversation with native English speakers and if you have a tutor, you will advance faster. Practice also includes listening to audio books, music with English lyrics, movies and tv. You can get reading practice by choosing movies and tv with English captions or subtitles. Choose books for your level. Choose books that are written for children or beginner English students and advance from there. Use language textbooks that come with audio cassettes or DVD's. You probably know many ways to learn English, but the most important thing to remember is that it is OK to make mistakes. You can't become a good English speaker if you are shy to speak. We learn from our mistakes. Anyone who has learned a foreign language knows that making mistakes and being corrected is part of the learning process. Even native speakers occasionally make mistakes in grammar or misuse a word. My job as a language coach is to encourage my students to speak as much as possible so that I can record any weaknesses and work with them until they become completely confident.
