An issue between Russia and Japan. Islands located in part of the northern east in Japan are called Hoppou ryoudo in Japanese. (It means Northern territories.) Russia and Japan have been arguing that they are owning islands by themselves for a long time ago. I don't want to mention here that whoever own the islands, but it is very important to own the islands for expanding their nation and the fisheries industries.
