I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics, my major subject is English language. My degree focused on areas like phonetics (the study of English speech sounds), syntax (how to form sentence structure), grammar (rules and usage of English), phonology (sound systems in English), the nature & structure of language, and English sentence analysis. I have worked as an ESL teacher for over 5 years, structuring my lessons based on my students' needs & goals. My focus is on improving their English speaking skills, helping them gain confidence when speaking, enhancing their grammar and pronunciation, and assisting with various needs such as interview preparation and IELTS exam preparation.Me as a Teacher
In my classroom, I create an environment that stimulates learning so that my students gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to speak, write, and communicate in English. I structure all my lessons based on what my students want to improve, for example, they might want to improve their speaking skills. I will have a conversational lesson with my student, listening carefully to how they speak, pronounce words, and the mistakes they make while speaking. I will kindly correct them, and give them the necessary tips and tricks on how they can improve themselves. I use patience as my approach because I understand that learning a second language can be challenging at times.My lessons & teaching style
