Hi everyone!
My name is Gabriele and I am from Milan, Italy.
I have a background in engineering and (separately!) communication.
I worked for several years with International, Erasmus and exchange students in what I consider one of the most eye-opening and enriching experiences of my life.
Besides languages, I have a strong interest in reading, cinema, cooking and discovering recipes from the world, international politics.. just plain and simple curiosity: there's way too much stuff to learn and discover! I also like to practice outdoor sports such as basketball, swimming and running.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I feel the most important quality is patience. Patience to create an environment that allows the student to make mistakes and get comfortable enough to not make them out of nervousness: at that point one can really express their real level of mastery.
I've always had a passion for foreign languages and I fluently speak English and Spanish.
I'll help you learning through a conversational method, in a very relaxed atmosphere, letting you develop listening, talking, reading and writing skillsMy lessons & teaching style
In the 1st lesson I'll create a text document dedicated to each of you in which I'll write down info on your goals, preferences and above all passions, so that the lessons are always personalized.
I'd like to teach by informal conversations, creating a dialogue and exchanges of ideas, allowing you to assimilate Italian through its practice, letting freedom of your speech to flow without (too many) disrupting interruptions on my part, albeit with corrections, insights and explanations as the actual way to improve the backbone of your Italian knowledge.
Having (below mentioned) tools to keep the lesson dynamic and see different contexts of the language usage is also the core of the experienceMy teaching material
