About Me

Hello! My name is Rhiannon and I am from Somerset, England. I live in Spain where I have been teaching English to children in a school for the past year. However school is now out for summer, so now I can dedicate more time to Italki! I have a very traditional English accent and I have completed my 168 hour Level 5 TEFL course. I started my career as a manager for a pharmaceutical retailer in England where I was responsible for holding meetings, conducting interviews, staff management, discussing budgets, and more. I left this job to go travelling and explore the world! I love meeting people from different cultures and countries, travelling, hiking, yoga, and being outside.

Me as a Teacher

My interest in travelling means I have met people from all over world, (I have friends from Korea, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela, Germany, Canada-to name a few.) where English was our shared language. This combined with teaching English to children means I am very experienced in speaking clearly, being patient, positive and encouraging. I like to keep things engaging, fun and fresh. I am friendly, approachable and I think it is very important to feel safe and supported. This way you will not be afraid to make mistakes, that's how you learn! :)
