About Me

I'm a South African girl, who loves food and travel. I was born in Limpopo, raised in Pretoria (Tshwane), and now living it up in Cape Town! I studied German and English linguistics whilst completing my degree in International Studies at Stellenbosch University. I consider myself to be adventurous, so during my free time you'll find me go-karting, quad-biking, going on safaris, trying out new restaurants... should I go on? Interesting fact about me: I don't know how to whistle - I've tried and failed on multiple occasions, sigh. Also, I'm more laid-back than I look in my photo.

Me as a Teacher

I would describe myself as enthusiastic, patient, and adaptive. I have good communication and listening skills, which I think is important in ensuring a successful and memorable relationship with my students. I always try to be as friendly, welcoming, and secure in approaching as I possibly can be.

My lessons & teaching style

Hybrid/blended style, which enables me to tailor my style to the student needs and appropriate subject matter. My specialities include friendly conversation, teaching slang and idioms, pubic speaking, test prep, grammar instruction, as well as business English. My lessons will consist of conversations, comprehension tests as well as homework assignments to assess your level of English and comprehension - this makes it easier for me to help you improve your English in whatever area you are struggling with. If you are a beginner, no problem - we'll take it slow and start right from the beginning!
