Hello, my name is Sam and I am 23 years old. I currently stay in South Africa and I am a native English speaker. I have a science degree, majoring in microbiology and cell biology as well as a TEFL certificate (120 hrs) from the International Open Academy. I have been teaching English online for about a year and I love it. I am a patient and empathetic person as I believe that people learn at different paces. I believe that it is much easier to learn in a fun and non-judgemental environment as it helps the learner develop a love for the English language. I feel that it is important for everyone to learn English as it is an international language. I am passionate about the English language and would love to help other people speak it fluently as well. I teach through having conversations with my students, where I focus on the way they pronounciate their words and their use of grammar. The teaching methods that I find suitable are the direct method, communicative language teaching, and the grammar method. I particularly love communicative language teaching because I believe that the best way to learn a new language is through constant communication. This method also helps to improve the way you pronounciate and articulate your words. I also believe that it is important to learn grammar as it improves your writing skills, enabling you to construct better emails and formal letters.My teaching material
