Hello, my name is Alani and I am from California. I am TEFL certified with a degree in history and a minor in education. My love for stories, traveling, and collaborative creativity has led me to my passion for teaching.Me as a Teacher
I am a patient and engaging coach ready to help students sound natural in an English conversation. I enjoy encouraging students to explore their interests and discover new capabilities. I strive to make my lessons meaningful and directly applicable to my student's goals and interests.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style places my student's needs and interests at the center of lessons. I believe a lesson is successful when it is meaningful to my student and directly related to their goals and interests. I am a patient listener during conversations and will encourage my student to try unfamiliar words and pronunciations. My lessons place a heavy focus on discussions. This ensures that the student can comprehend and communicate using realistic tools and settings. I particularly enjoy discussing cultural differences, useful everyday English, idioms, essay writing, and pronunciation tips.
Note: Currently, I do not offer lessons to new students under the age of 14.My teaching material
