Hey! My name's Andrew (or Andrzej) and I grew up between Warsaw, Poland and Portland, OR. Currently, I'm studying in Texas. I enjoy learning languages (including Spanish, Russian, Turkish, and Arabic), but I love to teach too! When I'm not working on languages, I have a bad habit of getting into way too many hobbies, but at the moment I've settled on piano, photography, and listening to lots of Regeutón. I love hearing about other people's lives and interests, so I'm sure we'll get along.Me as a Teacher
Though I'd love to just teach you to listen to Polish Hip Hop and read poetry, I understand that each person has their own learning goals which require different strategies. I bring to the table my own language learning experience, where I focus on lots of comprehensible input and immersion in the culture, as well as my experience teaching Polish to others in the past. I have a good sense of which parts you'll pick up naturally, and which we may need to spend some more time on. Unlike many native speakers, I have the knowledge to get into the nitty gritty of grammar - if that's what you need - but I can also just serve as a conversation partner or recommend Polish media that you'll enjoy.My lessons & teaching style
I believe that lessons are most productive when the student has a clear goal and is actively pursuing it, so I'll always start by checking in on your understanding of topics we've covered, your goals, and how you've been working on your Polish outside of class. Next, depending on your level, we will cover suitable topics which will speed up your learning. Depending on your level, that could mean working on basic reading and pronunciation, practicing common grammar patterns, or covering specialized vocabulary. If homework is helpful for you, I will happily assign it, but I'm happiest if you spend that time with some comprehensible input that you enjoy.My teaching material

Andzrej is a wonderful, enthusiastic tutor who is extremely practical and interactive with his lessons and consistently available to answer queries and provide study materials. With him, I have learnt at a faster pace than I ever could have thought possible (even just studying in my spare time).
If you’ve ever thought about learning Polish but have been scared away by its intricate and complex grammatical systems I can heartily recommend booking a lesson. Especially if you’re enthusiastic about language study in general.
