Hello. I’m Aline, from São Paulo, Brazil, currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I’m here as a Community Tutor.
I have a bachelor’s degree in History and have been studying different languages since my adolescence. I’m currently learning Greek.
I’ve worked in different areas related to languages, such as proofreading, translation and in the last 3 years, I’ve been a private language instructor, teaching Spanish to Brazilian students and helping foreigners improve their Portuguese in conversation practices.
I’m a very curious person and I have a passion for ideas that challenge conventional thinking.Me as a Teacher
I use my background as a History graduate and my interest in Humanities in general to bring up and explore topics related to Brazilian and Latin American culture, society and current events and also Latin American perspectives on world events, which is ideal for those want to familiarize themselves and/or expand their knowledge about our culture be it for traveling, moving or working here if for no other reason than curiosity.
If you already know Spanish and is now learning Portuguese, I can help you use the Spanish you already know to build up your Portuguese and address possible worries about the usually so dreaded Portuñol.My lessons & teaching style
Based on my studies and experience as a language student and instructor, I came to the conclusion that one learns and improves a language primarily by exposure and practice.
With that in mind, besides providing you with the opportunity to put your Portuguese to use while also learning more about Brazilian and Latin American culture, I can help you design a plan aimed at increasing your exposure to your target language naturally in your daily routine.
During our conversation practices I may type some corrections and vocabulary suggestions in the chat and if you feel the need for instructions on a specific grammar topic, we can address that as well. Always in a light-hearted atmosphere.My teaching material

Aline is a wonderful teacher! We have been working together for over two months now and she has helped me learn Portuguese from the very beginning! I am not a native Spanish speaker so they are patient with me if I need a refresher on Spanish as well during our lesson and they will chime in with English if I need clarification. :) Is always prompt, kind, and prepared and provides great examples!
