🇬🇧 My goal is to speak in Italian as much as possible, but we can use English or Mandarin if you need further clarification. I think that speaking a lot and having fun is a great way to learn, so the mood of our lessons will be laid back and informal. It's okay if you make mistakes! Making lots of mistakes is a great way to start correcting them and then internalizing the correct forms! Also, talking a lot is a great way to beat anxiety and shyness. It's normal to be nervous when speaking in a foreign language, and I'm well aware of that! That's why I'm here: to help you and support you all the way! You can do it! 2019 - 2019
Italian Language Tutor Cooperativa Sociale Culturale Italo-Cinese 中意学校This job was my first university internship. I tutored children from the age of 6 to 17 4 hours a day for 3 months. I helped them with Italian homeworks translating them to Chinese and also provided grammar lessons and support outside class via wechat. All the students were Chinese immigrants who had recently arrived in Italy and needed a figure who could mediate between the Italian and Chinese culture. This job has helped me refine my teaching method, adapting my approach based on the student.
2021 - 2022
Italian Language Tutor Huaqiao University 华侨大学I tutored 300 students with lessons of Italian grammar and culture. I supported the main teacher by creating assignments, correcting exercises, offering support and guiding students from the beginning of the course to the final test. I did this internship online and this allowed me to become familiar with the tools and method of teaching online classes. This work helped me manage multiple people at a time and make my lessons engaging so that everyone was willing to learn and speak Italian.

2016 - 2019
Bachelor's - Oriental Languages and CulturesI studied Chinese for three years and Japanese for two years. My Japanese language background allowed me to continue my studies here thanks to Italki's teachers. I studied Chinese history and culture in detail, using books in both Italian and English.

Master's - Asian Cultures and LanguagesI continued my Chinese studies for two more years, focusing on the study of history, literature, and translation. Many exams consisted of analysis and translation of both ancient (such as poems and stories in classical Chinese) and modern (such as novels or contemporary fiction) sources. This course is aimed at becoming a certified teacher.

24 CFUs for Italian Teaching Certification Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale" 2022This course is aimed at the acquisition of 24 CFU in the anthropological-psycho-pedagogical disciplines and in teaching methods and technologies; they are in fact the requirement for access and participation in the national competition for qualifications and examinations for Italian teachers. Studying these subjects helped me understand what teaching really is, from a cultural and psychological perspective.

Chinese Language Course Minzu University of Bejing 中央民族大学 2022I won a scholarship and took this online Chinese course at Minzu University in Beijing. The course consisted of 5 classes per week of 3 hours each, and lasted 5 months. Through this course, I was able to practice listening, writing, and speaking, and I was able to meet other students from all over the world. My class was upper-intermediate level (we used the HSK5 course books), and my teachers were all qualified university teachers. Classes were conducted completely in Chinese.
