I've been a teacher for many years, I have a genuine love of teaching and I thoroughly enjoy helping people and seeing them grow, learn and improve. As well as teaching English, I've taught a range of different subjects, including music and cycling. Over the years I've taught hundreds of students in all shapes and sizes, with a variety of different needs. This experience has given me a unique insight into how people learn, and what strategies I can use to help my students accelerate their learning.My lessons & teaching style
I like to make my lessons, fun, interesting, and most of all educational. I'm a naturally friendly and sociable person, which I find helps to create a relaxed atmosphere in my classes that promotes learning and concentration.

EFL Teacher Self-employedSince passing the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) in 2021, I have been teaching English to groups and individual students. I find this position very rewarding and enjoyable and love helping my students become more fluent speakers of English.
2013 - 2022
Music Tutor Self-employedFreelance teacher of drums, guitar, bass, piano, and music theory to hundreds of students (mostly on a one-to-one basis), from complete beginners to advanced-level musicians. Due to covid-19, I moved my teaching practice entirely online in early 2020, giving me valuable experience teaching over the web using Zoom and other platforms. I have taught students ranging in age from 4 - 70 years old with a variety of different needs and abilities, including those with special educational needs.

Cycling Instructor Cycle Confident LtdSelf-employed cycling instructor (Bikeability certified) with the majority of work carried out in schools and on roads in London as a contractor for Cycle Confident Ltd. This role required a high degree of responsibility, requiring the completion of risk assessments and continual observation of the safety and progress of trainees.
