About Me

I learn how to teach using effective teaching method from many sources. I am observing and developing my teaching capabilities. Before move to Sweden, I helped foreigners in Indonesia to learn Indonesian language, and they like me! Other than teaching Indonesian language to foreigner, I had experience in teaching children too. As a teacher, I listen to my student. Especially in one-on-one teaching,My lessons & teaching style
I adjust the curriculum based on their need and create communicative learning atmosphere instead of stiff formal style. Because each person is unique and they have their preference on the method
I use simple and less-formal teaching style, because it effectively make people remember better. Also, I balance the combination between discussion and focus practice (reading/writing/speaking)
Using topic based on student's interest, and tools based on their age, to help student remember better. I do have home assignments, but not torturing. Like choose your favorite Indonesian song.
I suggest we use the iTalki video platform for lesson as it comes in handy and very stable with good audioMy teaching material

I am really happy after our first lesson. Atika was well prepared and lesson was very interactive.. We started off with introduction to Indonesien culture and learned the basic greetings. She is very kind and encouraging and was very patient with all my questions. Thank you very much for the help and i am excited for our next lesson already
