Hello, I am very happy that you have found me and that you are here on my profile. I am Ruth Soriano, a native Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic. I love teaching and learning new languages. I am currently learning English, as a student I understand how difficult it is to learn a new language and as a teacher I can help you achieve your personal goals. My classes will be adapted to your level in the language, the time you have as well as your preferences when learning. We can have conversation classes, where we will focus on pronunciation, fluency, and the different slang that you can find in the Spanish language, also known as colloquial terms, which are so used by natives.

Me as a Teacher

I enjoy being able to teach my native language as well as seeing people benefit and change for the better due to the education they are receiving, Spanish is among the 5 most spoken languages in the world so without a doubt this is a great benefit for anyone who dedicates some time to improve in the language. I am a very patient, nice and friendly teacher. I make sure that the student feels comfortable and has fun while learning as this will always be an effective way to learn something new. I am the cheerleader for my students and I am excited about their progress as if it were my own, because indirectly I feel that it is too.

My lessons & teaching style

The main objective of my lessons is to improve your confidence and your language interpretation skills in a fun and interesting way. The more you talk, the faster you will improve! My lessons are interactive and totally personalized according to your needs and preferences, with a complete integration of the language (speaking, listening, reading, writing) with grammar explanations if you need it. If you need a specific approach such as application writing, job interviews, business conversations or any topic related to the medical field, I will design lessons with a specific focus on your needs. La conversación con Ruth fue muy amena. El tiempo pasa volando. Ella mantuvo la conversación haciendo ciertas preguntas. Por lo tanto, pude hablar más en español que fue el objetivo. Tengo muchas ganas de más clases con Ruth.
