Sheyha Hout

Amazing session with Sheyha! I l learned so much in our trial lesson and thankfully have found a teacher / method to fully immerse myself in learning Khmer. I have tried mobile apps, youtube videos, and even books to learn Khmer, but this session with Seyha made me more confident than ever to learn quickly and proficiently. Looking forward to our future sessions together.

I really enjoy my lessons with Seyha. He is always very well prepared and he gives me practical advice on how to use Khmer in my daily life. He is very polite and professional and I will continue booking lessons with him!

As there are very few Khmer teachers on italki, I wasn’t sure I would be able to find someone who I would work well with. However, having my now 5th lesson with Sheyha, I am very impressed by how quickly I am getting better. It’s just like having fun conversation and I always enjoy my lesson.

Sheyha was on time. He recommended me to take my own notes which was helpful. I would recommend Sheyha to use Google Docs because I think it is more convenient in my opinion. And I would recommend Sheyha to motivate his students using Khmer more often. Rather than say in English "Very good." He could say in Khmer "ល្អ​ណាស់." (la nasa) This would help the students be more immersed in the language in my opinion even if they are a complete beginner. However, when Sheyha shared his screen on Zoom, the text was very easy to read and understand. It was big enough. Also, he has a lesson to student ration of more than 13 lessons per 1 student. This means that for each student that enrolls in Sheyha's class, on average, they come back and rebook a lesson more than 13 times. This is impressive. Not many teachers can say they have repeat students for so many lessons. All in all, Sheyha is punctual. He could use Google Docs but has a lesson to student ratio of more than 13 lessons per student.

Bong Sheyha always teaches an enjoyable and informative lesson. Very high quality.
