I'm Zsofi, a Hungarian architect living and working in London, UK since 2013. I've always felt that my comfort zone would be an extended one. Even before moving to the UK I was lucky to have lived in Greece for 3 years as a kid and study in Madrid in my uni years then my work in London took me to Ghana for 3 months. I love travelling as a tourist, but I find it most amazing when you have the opportunity to be part of the everyday life of a place other than your home. And of course it's easier if you speak some languages other than your mother tongue. Right now it's only my Hungarian and English that are in good shape but learning and improving languages is an ongoing project for me.Me as a Teacher
Me being an architect means that languages and teaching are not in the main focus of my professional life. However, teaching English was part of my school years. I went to an English - Hungarian bilingual high school and got a very good command of English relatively soon and later I was able to help others in their studies and exam preps. Those classes included grammar, vocab and listening exercises, regular homework and I found it super important that I spoke to my students in English pretty much during the whole time.My lessons & teaching style
As a Hungarian 'teacher', I would be casual and do my best to help true language enthusiasts (because in my opinion that is what it takes to learn this language) learn and improve their vocabulary and pronunciation by chatting, discussing everyday life and different on demand topics. I am more than happy to provide vocab lists and prepare more structured lessons if required.5.0
